TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE TOURNAMENT :
In the subsequent sections the word Promoter is used to refer to AutoLux LLC

1. This competition is open to all residents of The United States of America aged 18 and over. AutoLux LLC employees or members of their immediate family, agents or any other person who is connected with the creation or administration of this Tournament are not eligible to participate.
2. By entering this Tournament you acknowledge and verify that you have read and understood these rules and agree to be bound by them and by any other requirements set out in any related promotional material. The Tournament is governed by the laws of the United States of America and any matters relating to the Tournament will be resolved under U.S. Law. AutoLux will not be held responsible for any entrant entering any of our Tournaments illegally. If you are uncertain about the legality of entering online Tournaments in your state, you should immediately leave this site and review the local laws and statutes.

3. You may become a member of AutoLuxPuzzles.com by agreeing to regular participation in our Tournaments as defined by the promoter and by agreeing to receive certain promotional materials. In return the promoter will offer members certain benefits of membership.

4. To enter a Tournament you must first sign-up or become a team member. Follow the onscreen instructions to provide the contact and payment information requested. Please note that when entering online you will not be considered entered into the competition until we confirm your ticket details back to you by email. P.O. box addresses will not be accepted as mailing address. Entry tickets for competitors whose credit card payments cannot be confirmed are automatically invalidated.
Upon entering each competitors must solve the displayed puzzle as quickly as they can. The solve time for each competitor will be stored for the duration of each Tournament. All Tournament will end at 11:59:59 PM Mountain Time U.S.A. on the end date. The competitors with the 5 shortest solve times at the end of each Tournament will be automatically enrolled in a free run-off competition for the purpose of determining the winner. The run-off competition involves solving a new puzzle. The competitor with the shortest solve time in the run-off competition will be the winner of the Tournament.
In the unlikely event there is a tie in the run-off Tournament, the competitors with equal solve times will be entered into additional run-off Tournaments until there is a single winner.
Upon notification, each competitor entered into the run-off tournament will have 3 calendar days to complete the run-off competition puzzle. Notifications will always be made via email and it is the sole responsibility of each competitor to promptly check email messages in order to complete the run-off puzzle within the allowed time. The promoter will not be responsible for electronic issues (such as email filtering programs) which may prevent the user from receiving the promoters notifications.
Please check system requirements (click here) to ensure your computer and browser meet minimum requirements for our online puzzles. The promoter is not responsible for computer software or hardware or internet connection preventing any competitor from participating.
5. You may purchase gift certificates for others or you may use gift certificates presented to you by others in order to participate in our Tournaments. To pay for your ticket using the gift certificate first login to your account then click on "Redeem A Gift Certificate". Enter the gift certificate code to transfer the balance into your account. You can use your balance to participate in any of our tournaments. Be sure to enter the gift code exactly because the codes are case sensitive. Gift certificates are non-refundable and can only be used to enter tournaments.
6. The winner will be notified at the email address given in the contact details within 20 days of the closing date of the relevant Tournament. You may check the results of competitions completed within the last 12 months at our website www.autoluxpuzzles.com. Upon being contacted, the winner will have 14 calendar days to respond and claim the prize. In the event that the winner does not respond within the prerequisite 14 calendar days, the prize will be awarded to the competitor with next shortest solve time in the run-off Tournament. This process will be repeated until the prize is claimed.
7. Prizes will be delivered only to the address corresponding to the payment card used to purchase entries. Following receipt and verification of the details above by the promoter, the winner will be contacted in order to make arrangements for delivery of the prize to be shipped to the winner at the promoter’s cost.
8. To receive any prize with a value in excess of $600, winners will be required to send a copy of their U.S.A issued state driver’s license or state issued photo identification, a digital self photograph, as well as social security number before any prize will be delivered.
9. Prize winnings of any U.S. resident will be reported to the IRS in accordance with US tax code, and payment of appropriate taxes are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Winners will be required to provide social security numbers in the event that cumulative winnings exceed the minimum requirements of the IRS for tax reporting purposes (currently $600 US dollars). Please see our privacy policy regarding the confidentiality of the personal information you provide to us.
10. Each winner will be contacted by the firm Marc, James and Associates, PC, hired by the promoter to confirm winners and delivery of the prize. By accepting the prize, each winner is agreeing to respond to our attestation firm and answer questions regarding prize delivery. Upon being contacted by our attestation firm the winner will have 10 calendar days to respond. Winners who do not respond to our attestation firm may have their access to the competitions revoked until such time as the Promoter is notified by our attestation firm of a response by the winner.
11. Acceptance of the prize by the winner gives the Promoter the right to use the prize-winner’s name, and photo for promotional purposes, both immediately after their win and in the future, unless prohibited by law.
12. There will also be runners up prizes awarded as follows. The competitor with the second shortest solve time (compared to the winner) in the run-off Tournament will receive a gift certificate equal to the value of the entry ticket in the Tournament for which they finished second. In the event that more than one competitor tie for second shortest solve time, then each of the competitors tied for second shortest solve time will receive a gift certificate.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel any Tournament for any reason, before the designated closing date. In these circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to transfer the customer’s ticket into another Tournament for which the ticket price is at least the same or more than the original price paid. In the event that a Tournament is cancelled, all solve times will be invalidated and all transferred competitors will have the opportunity to compete in a new Tournament as described in section 3. The Promoter also reserves the right at its sole discretion to extend the closing date on any time limited competition.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry to any Tournament by any entrant for any reason. In the event that the entrant being refused entry has already made payment, the Promoter will refund the entry fee to the payment card used for purchasing the entry.
15. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability of any of the goods or services offered as prizes. Except for liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Promoter, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss suffered or sustained to person or property including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission by the Promoter, or its agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods by any person to the prize-winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying the winner, or in connection with any of the Tournaments held by the Promoter.
16. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, for any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic or internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability, for the acts or omissions of any service provider, internet, accessibility or availability or for traffic congestion or unauthorized human act.
17. Data Protection Notice: Any personal data that you supply to the Promoter or authorize the Promoter to obtain from a third party, for example, a credit card company, will be used by the Promoter (i) to administer the Tournament ; and (ii) to contact you about other Tournaments or about other goods and services which the Promoter considers may be of interest to you. Promotional materials are only sent to members. You may opt out of receiving promotional materials by participating as a non-member. In order to process, record and use your personal data the Promoter may disclose it to (i) any credit card company whose name you give; (ii) any person to whom the Promoter proposes to transfer any of the Promoter's rights and/or responsibilities under any agreement the Promoter may have with you; (iii) any person to whom the Promoter proposes to transfer its business or any part of it; (iv) comply with any legal or regulatory requirement of the Promoter; and (v) prevent, detect or prosecute fraud and other crime.
